Johnny Smith's Kaleidoscope

One of the grooviest records we've ever heard from guitarist Johnny Smith — a sweet batch of mellow tunes, played with some warm chromatic touches ! Smith still has that wonderful tone here that he first exhibited on his 50s recordings, but he also works in a style that's a bit more fluid — cast in a small group setting, but somehow picking up the breezier touches of the Verve sound of the time. Titles include "Walk Don't Run", "By Myself", "Choror Da Saudade", "Dreamsville", and "Old Folks".

Hi Mel. I recently downed Johnny Smith's Kaleidoscope and I think the most recent Herb Ellis post -- winrar is asking for a password for both, and I see the comment preceding mine asking about same. Would you mind sharing the pass please?

Mel ! Johnny Smith picked all the right tunes for my Old Folks afternoon: walk don't run, a little wine, a foolish heart, by myself, old fashioned, dreaming of Sweet Lorraine, With Flaxen Hair... so good...THANKS !... :-)
