Gerry Mulligan - Mainstream Of Jazz

Recently, jazz albums from the 50's and the 60’s are being revived, by means of digital mastering, into compact discs. At the same time, unreleased performances and takes are being dug out one after another and, thus, creating a pleasurable task for fans and collectors to buy the revised versions. It is well worth nothing that not only did Nippon Phonogram revive three albums by Gerry Gaullien recorded between September, 1955, and September, 1956, A Profile of Gerry Mulligan, Presenting Gerry Mulligan Sextet and Mainstream of Jazz under the title Gerry Mulligan Original Emarcy Collection, but at the same time presented two albums, Mainstream of Jazz volumes two and three, containing 14 unreleased takes by the Mulligan Sextet. And now comes the release of the compact disc which features the album Mainstream of Jazz along with some of the prominent unreleased takes...
